I’ve finally had a chance to hear Freezepop’s latest album, “Imaginary Friends” a few times and I have to admit… I love it! It’s a little slower than their previous releases (none of the songs really get to the speed of something like “Less Talk More Rokk” or even “Brainpower”) but I still really enjoy it.
The lyrics of Liz Enthusiasm have actually improved quite a bit as well. There are less nonsensical songs and more songs with depth.
My favorite songs on the album at this time are “Hypothetically,” “Special Effects,” and “Lady Spider.” Special Effects has a very Depeche Mode vocal style which I totally love.
I highly recommend giving the album a listen. Freezepop is a favorite band of mine (I hope to see them live one day! TOUR DAMN YOU~!) and their latest release stands strongly with the rest of the Freezepop library.
